The semantic action space
SemanticMind describes the bounded business space in which change can become possible and effective. Processes can represent or coordinate paths within it — they do not determine its business validity.
The action space belongs to the enterprise
What is true in the enterprise at a given moment opens some business possibilities and rules out others. This creates a bounded space of possible next developments.
This space is not invented by the individual actor. People, software and AI access the same business foundation, regardless of who initiates an action or plans a path.
From what is true to what becomes possible
Starting point
What is true in business terms right now?
Possible action
What can happen next in business terms?
Conditions
What must hold for a change to become effective?
Outcome
What business reality exists afterwards?
From the next step to a space of possibilities
For planning, it is not only relevant what is possible now. When possible outcomes and the further possibilities they create are described as well, different paths become visible.
Different paths to a goal can therefore emerge. A person, conventional software, AI or additional orchestration may choose among them. The enterprise's business boundaries remain independent of that choice.
Semantics does not define the route. It defines the business road network in which valid routes can exist.
Process as a view — orchestration as additional coordination
A process view can represent a typical, prescribed or actually traversed path through this space. Where synchronization, deadlines or dependencies require additional coordination, a process or orchestration can provide that coordination.
Coordination describes or steers the path. It is not the source of what is valid in business terms.
Intent is not yet an effective business change
A desired outcome or requested action does not change business reality by itself. The enterprise's business conditions determine whether and how an effective change can take place.
Actors can intend or initiate something. The enterprise determines which changes may become effective in business terms.
One foundation for people, software and AI
Business reality belongs to no actor. People, conventional software and AI access the same foundation. They may analyse, plan or decide differently — but valid business effects do not become a property of the individual actor.
Actors can choose paths. They do not define for themselves which business effects are valid.
